5.1 audio setup messes up Kodi and Nvidia video drivers
After having spent a good couple of hours getting 5.1 surround sound working on my system, I now find that Kodi won't launch, and the logfile refers to changes I made in /etc/pulse/daemon.conf, (namely complains about having the extra channels set up in the config that are needed to enable my soundcard to have the 5.1 option.). It also seems to have borked the Nvidia graphics drivers, (though how that is the case, is quite simply, beyond me) which is a real pain in the proverbial.
I've done an extensive search, but all of the solutions either don't work, or are so involved and convoluted that I'd be spending the best part of a week sorting it all out. Is there a simple and straightforward way of getting it all to work and play nicely?
