After upgrade to 17.10, trackpad buttons does not work

    Hi all,

I would like to know how to debug this problem. After upgrade to 17.10, my laptop trackpad does not work on gnome3 session. I mean, i still can move the pointer, but can't click on anything. I've searched about on google, and some threads suggested me to replace synaptics to libinput. I removed synaptics, but does not solve anything. I tested on the console, using gpm and trackpad click work well. What more can I do to try to solve this?

Thanks in advance for all help.

Re: After upgrade to 17.10, trackpad buttons does not work

Since no one else has jumped in, let me tell you what I would start with. If this doesn't work, I have nothing else to offer, but it is worth a try and always the first thing that I do when I get some odd behavior on a laptop.

    1. Power down and disconnect power cord.
    2. Unplug all peripherals.
    3. Remove battery.
    4. Wait 10 minutes.
    5. Reinstall battery.
    6. Connect power cord.
    7. Boot computer and test to see if condition is gone.
    8. If good so far, now you can reconnect peripherals.
