Ubuntu 17.10 not open directory from desktop

    Hi to all!
I have a trouble: if I double-click on any directory on the desktop, nothing happens.
If I open the file manager (caja or nautilus) and after double-clicking on a directory on the desktop, it opens, as long as the file manager remains open.
    How can I fix it?

    Thank you.

I've got the same problem. I can open drives/folders with "right click -> Open with other application -> Files", but it works only that one time. Apparently, the computer 'thinks' there's no application to open Nautilus Links.
