Does someone now why Ubuntu still use Thunderbird 45.8?
The release of Thunderbird 52 was in April 2017

Looks like version 52.x is in the proposed repository for Artful.

I think it will be mainlined later, as Nvidia graphics drivers or so.
For now v. 52 stays in proposed since a long time so you can use it ?

TB & FF builds always fail on certain non Desktop arch's during dev which keeps new builds in -proposed for most of the dev process.

the version from the proposed channel runs fine. I also found one in a mozilla ppa, but this one had a lot of display problems (menus).
