When can we expect to see Firefox 55?

I just got the Windows update today(8/12) , so I'd guess next week.
“Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can".
Ubuntu Documentation Search: Popular Pages
Ubuntu: Security Basics
Ubuntu: Manual
I received FF 55 today (08-12-2017) as an update in LM 18 so I would think it would be available in Ubuntu through the updates.
Dell Optiplex 360 (11/28/2008) / Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6300 Conroe (1.86 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB, 2M Cache, LGA 775 Socket) / DDR2 Memory 4.0 GB, 800 MHz FSB / Intel 82G33 / G31 Express Integrated Graphics Controller.
There was a problem with Fx 55 and, as soon as Mozilla noticed, they yanked it. Now there's 55.0.1 and the release notes are here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo...1/releasenotes.
The maintainers may just push out 55.0.1 rather than 55.0.
Edit:
Ooh! There's gossip that 55.0.1 may soon be replaced with 55.0.2!

FF 55.0.1 is what I have.
I've read here and there and everywhere is that FF 57 seems to be the target for some major changes to FF.
This may also be some gossip guess we'll have to wait and see although as fast as FF seems to be pushing them out it may not be very long.

Problems abound eh!. I guess they must do what they have to do, better safe than sorry.
