Software center won't start after update

I have a similar problem with Software Center in Ubuntu Studio. A system update was installed today and when I try to run Sotware Center I get the following error message "Failed to execute child process “/usr/bin/software-center” (No such file or directory.

I don't know if the problem existed immediately prior to the system update, but I do no that it worked before. I have tried the recommended so actions but nothing new was installed or upgrade etc. Obviously the problem still exist after the manual upgrade.
