EDIT 2: When I booted, the WiFi driver was gone! I looked it up and tried this:

And sure enough, the extra image is missing. However, when I attempt to type the command to install it, the terminal does nothing. It doesn't respond to input, although it appears. Nothing further is displayed on the screen. Also, opera doesn't run!
EDIT 3: Not even sudo echo x works, same result.
