GNOME Desktop Sharing no longer works in 17.04

This was working fine yesterday while I still had Xenial 16.04 installed on the affected machine.

    I'm using VNC to connect.

Now, after upgrade to 17.04, Gnome Desktop Sharing will only ever share 1 quarter of the screen to the VNC client on the other machine.

I tried upgrading Remmina on the client machine but it made no difference.

The button which usually scales the screen to fit in the Remmina window has no effect.
I can't even scroll it because there are no scroll bars on the Remmina window. The remaining 3 quarters of the screen are inaccessible.

The screen resolution of the shared computer is 1920x1080
The screen resolution of the client running Remmina is 1366x768

Attached is a screenshot of the Remmina window.

How do I fix this so I can see the whole screen again?

I also tried to access the computer using Remote Desktop Viewer (vinagre)... same issue. Can only see 1/4 of the screen

So issue seems to be server side (i.e. it broke when I upgraded it to 17.04)

Could not find any solution online or through the IRC channel and got to get this working today, so I just re-installed 16.04.
