And here is the log of wifi when enabled with adapter plugged in and removed.

Also here are some of the things i observed when observing the syslog in console

    Code:

    Salutations ya'll!

You have RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller, Kernel driver in use: r8169 . you may need to try the kernel driver r8168.

As for the wifi, rfkill shows:

    Code:
    0: hci0: Bluetooth
        Soft blocked: yes
        Hard blocked: no
    1: acer-wireless: Wireless LAN
        Soft blocked: yes
        Hard blocked: no
    2: acer-bluetooth: Bluetooth
        Soft blocked: yes
        Hard blocked: no
    3: phy0: Wireless LAN
        Soft blocked: yes
        Hard blocked: no

    acer_wmi 20480 0

    ath10k_pci 45056 0
    ath10k_core 335872 1 ath10k_pci
    ath 32768 1 ath10k_core

    video 40960 2 acer_wmi,i915
the kernel module "acer_wmi" is loaded... you might need to turn it off / blacklist it. Something like: sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-acer-wmi.conf <<< "blacklist acer_wmi"

and then you'll have to reboot. if that didn't fix it, Then undo (remove the file /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-acer-wmi.conf) and.... reboot your computer again. ##

Also, I strongly suggest you change your routers security to pure WPA2 with AES (CCMP). No WEP, no WPA/WPA2 mixed mode, and no TKIP. and select a fixed channel from 1,6,11. Reboot the router after saving the change.

I don't see any differences in those attachments! the only thing i catch this time is :

    @Sary.sa:
Please use code tags when posting output code because when it's posted as plain text it loses its formatting and parts of it sometimes turn into smileys making it difficult to read and understand. The use of code tags makes the post clean, compact and more appealing, thus getting more attention from readers.

Sary.sa a lot of what is in the dmesg log about firmware loading errors is normal as the module looks for those files even though they have never existed. However kvallo does have a new board-2.bin for this chipset as the original had some duplicate entries

this is related to the samba share config file! i suppose.

with wifi enabled but using ethernet connection this was shown after a while using the interent
    Code:
    Jul 5 10:10:44 xxxx-Aspire-E5-575 wpa_supplicant[967]: wlp2s0: WPA: Group rekeying completed with 90:8d:78:0c:8a:d7 [GTK=TKIP]
The group rekeying is usually issued by the router/AP you're connected to. At least some routers has an option to set the rekeying interval. I don't think that's causing your connection problems. if your router has the option Group Key Update in Wireless , then #Set WPA/WPA2 Group Key Update Period to 86400.

    Re: 16.04 | Acer E5 575 | Qualcomm Atheros Device 0042 rev 31 | slow ethernet + no w

Iam really sorry for delay in reply, i have already gone through the posts linked by @Sary.sa to clone the git repo and copy the files in /lib/firmware/ath10k still it didnt make any difference.

But i didnt try the backports solution, will do that tonight and reply back here. I really dont understand what the issue is. When i installed 16.04 the wifi didnt have any issue but the ethernet was very slow. So i just disbaled ipv6 and everything was working fine.

Also can you please tell me how to properly bring ethernet and wifi down/up. i know ifdown and ifup but iam asking a correct way to do this.
Also the network manager doesnt list the wifi connections once the wifi is disabled and reenabled.
