Question Ctrl+V - how to find what app is grabbing this KEY?

Two days ago, my Ctrl+V stopped working. I have hunted high and low to try and find what application or package has grabbed it. I looked in gconf-editor, and a few other places, but no LUCK.
What is very strange is that where ever the mouse is, when I type Ctrl+V, it animates with a circular target action and then fades away. Has anyone else seen this, also, my Shift h key now doesn't work.
Your help would be greatly appreciated....
    Thanks,
    Not a CLUE.

Red face Re: Ctrl+V - how to find what app is grabbing this KEY?

I solved this when I discovered that my PageUp key on the keyboard was stuck. This was clobbering the Shift+h, Ctrl+V and probably a few other keys.
Problem solved, but it WAS PAINFUL! Perhaps this will help someone else.
