    Re: GRUB won't load

Alright, I downloaded it and booted into it but it didn't seem to do much. I just found out that apparently, GRUB can't detect some files and that may be the problem. I took some pictures, some are a little blurry but I hope you can read it.

You want to boot from sdb, so whatever is on sda, ignore. It looks like it shows a live image or ISOimage files.

Does core.img or grub.cfg entries then work? From last image?

Nope, it says there's no file detected. I put a pic of it into that Google drive folder if you wanna look at it but it really just says no file detected. I'm guessing it's still somehow not looking into the right folder but I have no idea what to do about it.
(Sorry for the late replies BTW, times zones suck.)

    Re: GRUB won't load

And is that the case with grub.cfg options also?

If just a brand new install, I might download a new ISO and verify it is valid.
And write to a different flash drive, using a different tool to create the flash drive.

Some have had issues installing with certain flash drives, certain ports on system, and which tool is used to create flash drive.
I can now (with lots of experience) install to existing ext4 partition with Something Else from my other hard drive (which makes it quicker) in about 10 minutes. A full install to a USB3 flash drive can take 30 minutes to even an hour, as write to flash drive is slow.

Lots of info on USB boot for installing

Nope, still the same. I've tried several ports, flash drives and installation tools. I also re-downloaded the package from the website, still the same thing. It usually gives me the "Unknown filesystem" error now, maybe that's something that could be addressed but I don't know how

Is error still from your install or now from the installer?
Is BIOS set to AHCI for drives, not IDE nor RAID?
