Post Need to speed up my network card Netgear FA510 pcmcia 32bit

    Laptop pentium 3 850mhz
    Xubuntu 16.04 xfce
    512MB ram
    10GB HD
    8MB video memory
    Netgear FA510 with a cat5e 6 feet cable.

I'm downloading very very slowly like 100kb/s from a 75mbit comcast and from a local network same, like I put wget 10.0.0.20/videos/video.mp4 and it gets it that slow. I used to have a problem with debian saying that it needs a linux-firmware but this version of Linux I have doesn't have that file I wonder what am I missing thanks.
