    No network icon?

I just upgraded to 16.04 & lost my network icon at the top panel. This is a wired connection on my desktop. The reason it's important is sometimes I have to click on the icon & internet connection to access the internet. I booted up this morning & now I can access the internet but sometimes I'll boot up & I can't without clicking on the internet icon. I've tried a few things after google searching & nothing has worked. Any ideas?

    Re: No network icon?

Well just in case anybody runs across this problem I found a partial solution.
    Code:
     sudo nm-applet
in terminal did the trick but I also get an error warning. At least I can get the network icon on the panel when i need it now.
