Failed to Start RAISE network Interface with new MB

My 4 year oldmotherboard on my file server failed. I replaced it with the same brand of MB,(Super micro MBD-X9SCL-F-O) so I could reuse the same memory/CPU.

On boot-up I get thefollowing error: Failed to StartRAISE network Interface.

I believe theproblem is the updated network chipset on the new MB is not compatible with theversion of Ubuntu server I am running. 16.04.2 LTD Kernel 4.4.65

I have found newdrivers for this chipset, (Intel 82579LM) but I don't know how to install themas they are not in a "Package" or install program that I can run. (Orso I think…)

Limited to the factI can't get the system on-line as the network/Ethernet hardware is notinstalled, I've been trying to download and install via USB thumb drive.

The questions is howdo I install/update the drivers on the system? Is there a apt-get package I candownload that contains the updated drivers I can install via a thumbdrive? Or, can I just shove the driverin a folder somewhere and it will load? I am nowhere near an expert IT guy soany ideas are greatly appreciated.

    Thank you for your help.
