    Suggestion - Ubuntu Configuration Packages

Hi - I'm a n00b and I find myself continually copy/pasting from FAQs to the command line. Is there anything in the plans that would allow Ubuntu to simply accept a "package" that would do this automagically? I stare at the command line enough at work all day. I'm not happy to come home and do it more.

This would be a *huge* step in the "linux for humans" effort.

Re: Suggestion - Ubuntu Configuration Packages

They are kinda doing this, as now you can get an auto-configure script for if you're new to linux. But I think it would be a hastle more than a convenience for more than most things. Because usually it's just two or three easy to pate scripts. Good idea for complicated things though I would absolutely LOVE a script that would auto configure squidguardian or dansguardian (those things are impossible to install). I think they should head toward that direction and make it more official. It would still be a hastle for most things though
