Ubuntu Server 16.04 LTS V.S. Puppy Linux 6.3 w/ Hiawathia Server

Which would be better? The server OS that I'm currently running is the Ubuntu Server 16.04 LTS, but Puppy Linux 6.3 with the Hiawathia Server software seems like an attractive alternative since the server in question only has 512 MB of RAM, with virtual Memory of 1 GB on the disk drive. Would Puppy Linux be helpful?

using the PPA you can install hiawatha on ubuntu. https://launchpad.net/~octavhendra/+archive/ubuntu/hiawatha

    why would puppy help here?
How many users are on server? what kind of services are you running?

Ubtuntu server needs 256 MB to run 512 MB ram is enough for most things. i have 4 GB ram and i am not sure if it ever went over 300 MB with a couple of users using it (LAMP server with Owncloud).

Read the easy to understand, lots of pics Ubuntu manual.
Do i need antivirus/firewall in linux?
Full disk backup (newer kernel -> suitable for newer PC): Clonezilla
User friendly full disk backup: Rescuezilla
