ues super + enter to open a file with an alternative program

Hello, assume having a file type (e.g., .pdf) that is often opened with two different applications (e.g., evince and xournal). In Nautilus it may then be convenient (I think) to have:

    - enter => open in evince
    - super + enter => open in xournal

I searched the Internet & the forum but I did not find, plus (as far as I understood) neither Cairo-dock nor xdotool seem to manage this case. Do you know if it is doable / how to do?

    Notes:
    - of course it may be "control" or "shift" instead of "super"
    - I hope that (but I do not know if) the solution can be generalized beyond Nautilus
    - (edit) I would prefer a keyboard-only approach that does not involve using the mouse

    Thank you people!!

    Good evening

Navigate to the file you wish to open
    Right click
    You should see "Open with"

The "Open with" can allow multiple choice of applications.

    Hello,

yes I think this is the standard solution. But it involves several clicks instead of 2 and using the mouse instead of just the keyboard; I was looking for something fast, effective and keyboard-only oriented (being a vim user and I usually want to optimize my speed and I try to avoid using the pointer the most I can).

    Thank you in any case!
