I moved my hard disk reviews etc to my Linux site where I am slowly assembling more and more how to manuals for everyday linux server users

Found some photos of early PC hard disks for some atmosphere, not that anybody hardly uses MFM anymore. IDE still has a few stragglers but SATA is where the mainstream is now at in the western world at least
rack mounted SATA connectors are where the world is going more and more
the recent move to SSD has lead to the U.2 connector which is designed for SSD rack mounted setups with higher performance RAID card
These days JBOD disks seems to be more common with larger capacity disks, not like it was when 9GB disks were the best you had with that old SCSI card
