Hello.
I'm new to Linux, so pelase conisder this when giving suggestions.
The issue is that in Skype people can't hearme well, the sound is very quite and muffled. I did the "remove the tick at: Allow Skype to automatically adjust my mixer levels." from SkypeTroubleshooting page and put microphone on max (before there was no sound at all).

Does the mic work well outside skype?
pavucontrol is the tool to use to handle it on Ubuntu.
Also, with Linux, always, always, always, check the log files for any issues. Look for warnings and errors in those.

Sorry, I tried editing that post, seems like it didn't save the changes.
No, it's not all my laptop. I tried few audio-recording apps to check, in some of them my voice was clear, in some - not.
