    Second Life Voice not working

    Hey all,

I'm trying to get Second Life voice to work on 16.04 Ubuntu. I have verified that my microphone works in the OS but whenever I look in the preferences or open the game and do the same, go to voice and my input and output are grayed out and I cannot change them and the audio bar does not work. It appears that it is not working for the game. I tried to do the method for firestorm for ubuntu 10.x but that didn't work. All it says is it cannot connect to the voice server. I know the ports are open and the firewall is not blocking them. Other computers running windows the mic works fine so it appears that I'm having the issue just on Ubuntu. Any Ideas?

If you like Window's, try Linux, it's better. It comes without the hastle.

Re: Second Life Voice not working

You would have to find an old Linux client for voice to work.

Linden Labs no longer support Linux and Virox (the voice guys) broke voice on Linux a few months back, and nobody has been able to fix it. We get no support or fixes from Linden Labs or Virox anymore.
