A few problems with Plank, help needed

Hello, I am setting up Kubuntu on my laptop and I ran into a few issues with Plank which I can't find any solutions for:

    1) My icon theme (Numix Circle) doesn't show work on the Plank icons, instead the icons for apps pinned to the dock are just the default ones.
    2) When I try to put the trash docklet on the dock it's invisible.
    3) I can't pin system activity to the dock as the option just doesn't show up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello!

It might be helpful to know which release of Ubuntu you are using.

    Cheers.

Update: I managed to get System Monitor to stay in the dock. For some reason it sometimes gives me the option and sometimes doesn't. I believe it has something to do with the way I open the app as the ability to pin it to the dock only occurs when I open system monitor by clicking on a resource usage widget

The way to fix this is to add and .icon folder in your home directory and place your icon set in there. Or to go into system settings, application style, gtk style and set your gtk icons too what you want to sue. I am not sure which of these actions worked for me. It was either one or both. I had to log out and back in.
