Wifi issues

So, I just installed Ubuntu alongside Windows 10 on my Lenovo T540p laptop with no issues except that my WiFi won't connect. It sees my WiFi and when I select it and type in the password it is trying to connect for about 4-5 seconds and then the login window pops up again asking me to put in the pass phrase? Any help is appreciated. I did connect it to my router directle with a cable and did the apt-get update and apt-get dist upgrade which was suggested somewhere else to no avail...

This will create the file "wireless-info.txt" at the location it is run from, and depending on its size, an additional archive called "wireless-info.tar.gz", for attaching on the forums. Sensitive information like MAC addresses and WPA/WEP keys are masked automatically.
