I tried to post a new thread but it said :

I've just posted another post fine, but realised that I'd used a stupid title so I was trying to re-post with a better title.

That happened to m yesterday, also. All I've done to fix it was to navigate to Quick Links -> Subscribed Threads and select All from the Subscriptions Subscribed Threads in Folder top combo box and then in the Selected Threads bottom combo box selected the Instantly, using email option from the Update Subscription Type option.

While posting https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread....1#post13532338, I got the thirty-second time out message and was returned to the editor. As always happens in cases like this, my post was in fact accepted.
Update: Same thing happened with this post itself.
Update 2: Soon after this the entire forum became unavailable.

I could not reply to a PM after clicking advanced and previewing it a few times.
It gave me the same authority error as before.
But, I went back into the message and pasted what I had copied for my response into the window and hit send and it did it OK.
I did this is a couple of seconds and it worked.
It seems that if you preview it and spend much time with it; it will get the error.
Haven't had any problem posting to threads that are already there.
