Forum's not letting me do *anything* with my account, except post.

Today's becoming a very frustrating day for me in trying to do anything productive because of weird, stupid stuff that shouldn't be happening. So I tried to edit my profile's basic settings, got an error. Tried to change my account settings, and got an error. The error? See here:

If you have made fewer than 10 posts, access to your personal settings is restricted. See here for more details.
Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post to a Resolution Centre thread that another user has started, the permissions for the Resolution Centre do not permit this. Anyone may start a Resolution Centre thread, but only the thread starter and forum staff are able to post to it.
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Now... what I have to ask is... how do I change my account settings to something more current if I can't edit the settings after logging in to begin with? Seems kinda... pointless to restrict that kind of access, if that's indeed what's going on.

I'm losing a lot of hair today.

Aaahh... yeah, it's been a long time since my last login. Mostly 'cause I haven't needed help that I couldn't find an answer for. Thanks - though it still seems a little... counter-productive. XD
