Question sites to learn touch typing

    Hi,

I'm a teacher and I'd like to ask my students to use a program/website to learn to touch type for homework, but that would give me how much time they had spent on it and their last test WPM etc. Has anyone found anything like this?

I've looked at www.freetypinggame.net/free-typing-lesson.asp which looks great, but doesn't allow me to keep track of individual students.

    Thanks,
    Naomi

You could look at klavero. I haven't tried it except for my own benefit, but their website (http://klavaro.sourceforge.net/en/) mentions semi-online contests.

Thanks, I'll have a go at installing it on a windows machine when I can next get my hands on one! I think it might be better to go for something that doesn't need installing though, on reflection, as the kids won't necessarily be able to do that at their local library etc.

    Thanks again!

Have you looked at typingclub? It's used by over 10 million students worldwide. I've not used it myself but it seems like a pretty good resource.

    Here's the website - https://www.typingclub.com/
