Okay, I have 2 installations of Ubuntu Studio 14.04 on my desktop: a 32 bit 14.04.1 and a 64 bit 14.04.4 The 32 bit installation started giving me an error saying "insmod not installed: No GFX mode" or some such so I did a stupid and used synaptic to install it. Now, all I get is a pixelated screen with no boot that I can see. If I try recovery mode, I am NOT allowed into grub (password not recognized) and if I continue the boot it logs in to the guest account where I can't change anything. I am allowed to use the 64 bit with no problems so if there is an edit I can do that would help it would be much appreciated (I know enough to be able to pull up a terminal and sudo the snot out of what ever...) If I could "unload" the insmod I would be happy with the error...

My video card is an old ATI radeon X-300 if that makes any difference...
