Debian: add contrib and non-free repositories from shell

    Hi,
I made a lot of search about adding contrib and non-free repositories of Debian via command line, but I did not find any way. I found this about adding repository from shell, however it works only for PPA. Is there a smart way to append contrib and non-free keyword to repository in /etc/apt/sources.list?
In particular, I'm interested about installing flashplayer-nonfree and rar and untar packages.
    Thank you

Why add it from the shell? Why not just edit your sources list?
