Can gnome run on intel HD 520 integrated graphics

I'm thinking of getting this laptop:

Would it run gnome shell?

Yes. One of the options on that page is Ubuntu so your graphics card is confirmed. Gnome Shell will be no problem, you can either install it alongside Unity, or (better) reinstall Ubuntu Gnome fresh over the top.

They have all the other Ubuntu flavours listed so maybe if you ask them they'll put Ubuntu Gnome on it for you, they may have just forgotten to add it to the list (shame on them haha).
