    ejecting/safely remove my fon

i have an lg beacon, aka, lg mn270, my system is hp pavilon g7-2017us i3 cpu, 6 gb ram 500 gb hdd running wily. lately i've haven't been able to safely remove/eject my fon. the only way i can do so w/o messing up the micro-sd is to disable usb mass storage bia the fon itself. what do i need to do to fix this???
