    Constrains moving /home to a new HDD

    Hello guys.

    I'm new as a Linux user, but I spend the last 5 days working on a dual boot with windows, so I know a few things now...

    Well, I instaled Ubuntu alongside Windows 10 in a 128Gb SSD. After successful installation, I decided to move my /home directory to an 1Tb HDD that was empty with no partitions mounted.
    TO do so, I followed this guideline: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Pa...ng/Home/Moving
    But first i created a new partition with gparted app:

    Concluding the guideline there is a few "problems" I want to solve:

    i) I have now in my desktop the new mounted disk, and i want to remove it from there, without deleting;

    ii)When i open my terminal now, i have this comand prompt:

    and I wish to have the default one;

    iii)When I try the last step of the guideline, remove old home I find that i still have the two /home paths:

    I'm a newbie, so i would appreciate the help. My final goal is to have the default /home directory and folders but in my new HDD partition.
    Thank you.

    Could you please also mark as solved in the parent forum using the "Thread Tools" drop down menu at the top of your browser window?

    The middle blue link in my signature line has a guide for how to do so if needed.

    Regards, yeti.
