I'm at a loss My system that was working fine with skype just quit on me.
I use all kinds of multimedia apps and all work both using the GUI and Terminal.
I tried re-installing several times to no avail, I know it is in my installed list because I can see
the icon in the proper category in the ubuntu menu and by doing a search on the DASH.
When I click on the gui icon nothing happens, but it I run it on the Terminal this is what I get:
( p-m7640n@hpm7640n:~$ skype
skype: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libQtOpenGL.so.4: undefined symbol: _ZNK14QWidgetPrivate17hasHeightForWidthEv)
A similar action when I run teamviewer:
(hp-m7640n@hpm7640n:~$ teamviewer
Init...
XRandRWait: No value set. Using default.
XRandRWait: Started by user.
Checking setup...
Launching TeamViewer ...
Launching TeamViewer GUI ... )
Again I can run Gimp, Scribus, Inkscape, email etc, using both GUI and Terminal commands without any problems.
I like skype because it keeps me connected with friends abroad, and I've been using since the beginning and I use
teamviewer as a way to provide support to family and friends and some far away clients.
My principal systems always run on UBUNTU LINUX, I do own windows pcs and I can use both skype and teamviewer on them,
but I prefer my trusty LINUX,
If anybody has a solution I would APPRECIATED very much.
