Question Lost Sidebar in LXLE 14.04

I lost the sidebar on the desktop (on the left side) that pops up that includes applications such as firefox, a mail client, file browser, etc. Me being the new noob that I am, have been searching for a solution.

It looks like I accidentally installed unity. I have a sidebar now but it is not the original one and I do not like it.

How can I uninstall unity and get my old sidebar back?

    Thanks

I'm not an LXLE user, but it is based on Lubuntu, in which your sidebar is probably called a Panel. Check in your Settings manager for anything named Panel and see what choices you have.

    Hope that works!
