Outdated software - how do I update the repository

    Hi,

I have just installed Ubuntu, and I am keen to use Bluefish. But the version in the repository is 1.0.4. This version has a bug that is fixed by version 1.0.5. Is there something that I need to do, or is this just the state of play for debian packages - though the Bluefish site does say for debian/Ubuntu users to use apt-get install bluefish to get version 1.0.5, which I did but that just loaded the version from the repository.

My repository is just the bulk standard delivered with the install. Do I need to make changes?

    Regards,
    Chris

At the moment 1.0.4 is the version in the Ubuntu repository's. Debian's got 1.0-1.
To get the latest you should check Bluefish's site.

In time Ubuntu/Debian will likely update to 1.0.5, to check reload the repository's from time to time.

    Cheers,
    Bart.
