Question PulseAudio CPU usage 90%+ when routing. Any fix/replacement?

So now that I've got JACK working, I'm noticing the same issue I had when I was using nulls/sinks in PulseAudio: CPU jumps to 90%+ usage.

Is there any way that I can reduce how much CPU PulseAudio uses when I'm routing audio from one application to another? Or a way to just remove PulseAudio entirely but still get sound from System/YouTube/Skype/Teamspeak/VLC?

Edit: Changing the frames/period in JACK seems to have fixed this for the most part.

If you regard it as solved, it would be good of you to use the thread tools menu to mark it so.

If you check this, I'd be interested to know what tools you used to pin the high cpu usage on pulseaudio. I'm having some hard to trace issues of that sort. Not to hijack your thread though.
