    Image viewer/manager with arbitrary ordering?

I've got photos from lots of different sources which I'm trying to order in albums, and I need a system which will allow me to order them myself: ordering by file name, or by date, doesn't work well enough - I need to be able to move photos round by hand so that they're in the right order for the software's slideshow. Gwenview, for example, doesn't seem to allow arbitrary moving of photos in an album.

Is there an image viewer or manager which will allow the user to move the photos (by hand) so that they're in the right order for viewing?

    Many thanks,
    -A.

You can give digikam a try. It's the photo manager for KDE.
