    /dev/input/js1 is no longer recognizing

    Hello Ubuntu Forums,

I have a strange issue. I was in the middle of using Snes9x-GTK and my Retrolink USB/SNES controller stopped working mid emulation. I fired up Jstest-GTK and my controller was not detected on /dev/input/js1 as it usually is. I tried a different USB controller, and it too was not detected. I then tried a flash drive to see if it was the USB port(s) that were experiencing a failure and all 3 ports detected the flash drive no problem. I've completely removed "joystick" packages with apt as well as reinstalled them. I don't really know what else I can do. I can provide an output of lsusb if that helps.

Hoping someone can point me in a better direction since I've never really had to troubleshoot any serious issues with Ubuntu yet.

    Thanks!
