Install Netis AC600 Wireless USB adapter

Trying to install a wi-fi adaptor. It is a netis AC600 model WF2180 on a desktop so I can increase my on line speed (my modem supports 300!!) several problems. First, I need to find out if the transmitter is even SEEN by the computer. Then need to get drivers, etc installed .. the disk that comes with it is for WINDOWS.
I have installed "hardinfo" from the repository, but no way to tell if it did any good.
Been using Ubuntu for quite a few years, but have not had to go under the hood in a LONG TIME!

Go to http://www.netis-systems.com/Suppory...ls/id/1/de/126 and there seems to be a driver for Ubuntu 16.04 available.

I am having trouble getting that download to work at the moment but keep trying and you may succeed.

Turns out the Netis System website has partially crashed! ... CONTACT will not load, either!

GOT through to them on the phone. They sent new package of drivers, I installed ... NOPE.
So, I installed the system on my Windows Laptop ... and IT DID NOT WORK (i have 2 of their "USB adaptors" .. NEITHER WORKED! So something is seriously wrong with either their drivers or their hardware! Since these were given at no charge by Comcast, nothing out of pocket. Guess I will shop for some that ACTUALLY WORK!!

If you post what I asked for we can find out for sure if it is supported but you have to have the adapter plugged in, there is no reason to guess.
