Cameron Bohnstedt Open Source Design Videos

I'm creating demonstrations and tutorials for those using GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program), Inkscape or those who are planning on using other open source software for graphic design or illustration.

Thanks! I want to make actual tutorial and tip videos along with these time lapses soon. Any questions are welcome and I'll try to answer them.

If I were more artistic, I'd really like to try that.

Some tutorials out there are far too advanced for myself, but great for more experienced people.

Ideally there would be a range for people just starting out and the more experienced. Also, a difference between art tutorials and software tutorials.
I want to make people more comfortable and confident with open source alternatives. To feel like if they invest the time to familiarize themselves with the software,
they can apply their own growing artistic skills to get the same or comparable results as they would with proprietary software.

Oh nice videos to I see, thanks for share.

I also make my deviations, and videos and other things with GIMP, OPENSHOT, INKSCAPE, etc... But unfortunately I can't record my work because my pcs dont have good optimal hardware to do that , so I only put the results on my deviantart or youtube an example of a video build with GIMP, Openshot :

Thanks SKyPH3Rfor share the videos , looks amazing to learn about some things on Design with the Penguin!

Thanks! I don't know much about the recording software, but I guess you've already tried to record at lower resolutions, without sound and all of that. It would be great to have more people putting stuff out there. I noticed you had window animations and things turned on in one of your videos. Maybe stripping things down to the basics would lighten the load enough to improve recording. Great thing about time lapses at least is that frame rate doesn't matter so much, but I'd want to do normal speed tutorials too.

Anyway, I'm glad my channel has something of interest and I hope to fill it with more useful content.
