    data structure of f-spot

Hi, unfortunately I can't use f-spot any more because of continuing crashes. But I'd like to keep the file structure of f-spot, how it stores the images like
    Code:
    2015/08/11/my_image.jpg
Can someone suggest a equivalent image software like f-spot which has the same storage structure?

    Thanks!

    Re: data structure of f-spot

I don't use any photo management software; prefer to have the the data in the file system and EXIF data inside the files. OTOH, no RAW files here, so it isn't too hard.

digiKam - it will leave the photos in whatever place you put them. BTW, that is a good organization structure. Can f-spot export metadata to XMP? digiKam can read that so you won't lose any metadata not placed inside the actual image files.

Think I'll give digikam a try myself. Need to geotag some files.

Update - perhaps not. The dependencies for this single program are beyond what I'm comfortable installing.
    Code:
0 packages upgraded, 127 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Need to get 119 MB of archives. After unpacking 347 MB will be used.
Do you want to continue? [Y/n/?] n

Hey, thanks for your help! I think I just go with shotwell. It has the desired file structure.
I don't really have time to tag my pictures.
