Hi,
I have been using "Belkin basic wireless modem - router n150" from last 3 years and it is working fine. Recently our ISP have made some changes that, instead of assigning a public IP directly, now they are assigning a private IP.
So, my Belkin router is getting a private IP(10.22.xx.xx) and when I do a search for "Public IP" on google it is showing a different IP(183.22.xx.xx). I am able to access all the sites and upload all files to all the sites from my windows laptop, but not from my ubuntu laptop.
I see the same issue on my Android Phone(Nexus5) and also, the download speed is fine and only upload speed is very low. Some sites are taking forever to load on Ubuntu.
But, I can use the same Ubuntu laptop at my office without any issues and via the same ISP I have at home. But our office have a static IP i.e router IP and Public IP are the same.
I have a desktop which runs the same Ubuntu 15.04 but uses a "EDUP Mini Wireless N 11n Wi-Fi Nano USB Adapter" also have the same issue.
Ubuntu Laptop:
Ubuntu 15.04
Linux 3.19.0-21-generic #21-Ubuntu SMP Sun Jun 14 18:31:11 UTC 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
02:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8723BE PCIe Wireless Network Adapter [10ec:b723]
Subsystem: Lenovo Device [17aa:b736]
Kernel driver in use: rtl8723be
Can someone please, direct me in the right direction to find what would cause these problems?
Please let me know if you need any further info.
Thanks,
RaviTeja
