I recently installed Ubuntu Server 15.04, on my Toshiba Satellite L755-S5311, and the first thing I did when I booted up was "sudo apt-get install gnome". After that finished, I rebooted into Gnome. But, when I was at the login screen, my mouse pointer was invisible. It was still there, but I couldn't see it. Then at the desktop, it appeared. When I go into the activities menu, it disappears. As well as any other menu than the desktop. What am I doing wrong? Is there any way I can fix this? I have abandoned gnome and installed Unity, with no problems whatsoever.
