Unhappy ubunto goes to sleep mode on boot and reboot: needs vitamins?

    Hello good ppl
I have an acer Aspire one, model Kav10 with xubuntu 15, that is having a very strange behavior on boot: it goes to sleep just before login. I press the power button a couple of times, and wakes up. after this, works well. Until i shutdown or reboot, where it goes to sleep again, before leaving the OS.

on the definitions, i disabled all power saving definitions: in power management > general / display / security. Also looking online, i tried other ways to stop it from sleep, to no avail. I the repair shop they told me its a hardware problem, not software (just to check, installed the same distro on another machine and is flawless). They told me if it where the power supply, would never even start the boot. Most likely, is the motherboard energy controller.

If it was only this, would be livable. But randomly, i also wont have image at all, after waking from the sleepmode, even if i see the power light on
so what i need advice for is this: is there a way to bypass this controller?

    Thanks

What is strange is this " I press the power button a couple of times, and wakes up. after this, works well"

at first i was indeed thinking about too high temperature; but its not logic with the above. Then could it be false contact of that power button ? Maybe pay attention to clean the keys, and all the system (it cant be worst then)

    thanks for the repply.

I dont notice any key being stuck, as in weird typing, even in the button power. Because after login, even if i have it on for 20 hours, i can lock the screen, and unlock with escape key or power button, it works. Also works with the power button. if the power button where stuck, this wouldn't every single time, exactly in the same spot. And the same happens in logout, reboot and shutdown: before doing any of those, it takes a nap, i wake him up, and only after he does what i told him.

After googling i still dont understand if this component is just to control the standby /sleep behavior or the power supply for entire system. If the first is true, the maybe i could bypass that functionality, if i could disable sleep mode entirely (it is so in all configs i could find, but xubuntu disagrees), maybe it could work. But if it is the later, means i cannot disable the power supply of a computer (duh..), meaning i'm screwed.

    Any thoughts?

Were you able to get past this? I have this same problem on an Acer.
