I tried b43 and b43legacy drivers. Both show me wifi network, but impossible to connect, so back to bcmwl driver. Also I suppose the issue doesn't comes from the driver, but I'm not sure. To help, here is some usefull info :

    Re: CTRL-EVENT-DISCONNECTED reason=0 with a BCM4331 WIFI card

Man, oh man! Where do I even start? As I am regarded as the resident Broadcom guy, the guys in the back room have urged, with a certain degree of scepticism, that I take on your issue. Monday, I may give up all my beans and start with a new user name!

I feel like the question is really that the native driver isn't working with a mainline kernel, that is, one not made for a standard Ubuntu version, so you tried the proprietary STA driver and it doesn't work either; what to do.

Let's wade in and see what we can see. First, does the device connect and stay connected to the 2.4 gHz AP; suggesting this is a 5 gHz HT issue? Second, which version of the STA driver is installed?
    Code:
    sudo dpkg -s bcmwl-kernel-source | grep Version
If you have 6.30.223.248+bdcom-0ubuntu1, I wonder if you might have better luck with 6.30.223.248+bdcom-0ubuntu2 from here: http://packages.ubuntu.com/vivid/bcmwl-kernel-source

Next, if you reboot and select a standard Ubuntu linux-image, such as 3.16.0-34-generic, does the problem remain? If you selected that same linux-image and use b43 and firmware, does the problem remain?

Finally, what does this tell us:
    Code:
    sudo iwlist wlan0 scan
We only care about BBM Air 5; feel free to remove all others.

    Re: CTRL-EVENT-DISCONNECTED reason=0 with a BCM4331 WIFI card

Thanks a lot Doc' ! Let's give you some info.

I'm going to try the 2.4 gHz, but because of the excitement and the time it can takes to be tested (1/2 days), I'll test this in last.
My STA driver version was :

    Code:
    sudo dpkg -s bcmwl-kernel-source | grep Version
    Version: 6.30.223.248+bdcom-0ubuntu0.1
So the 0.1 version, even not the 1. I updated with the one you suggested me :

    Code:
    sudo dpkg -s bcmwl-kernel-source | grep Version
    Version: 6.30.223.248+bdcom-0ubuntu2
Then I'm gonna proceed step by step. I'll wait with the 3.18.11-031811-generic x86_64 for the moment, until it disconnects. If yes, back to 3.13.

Finally a scan returns me this :

    Code:
    sudo iwlist wlan0 scan
    wlan0 Scan completed :
              Cell 01 - Address: 80:EA:96:EC:59:09

If the issue is not solved, I'll try b43 with my outofbox 3.13 kernel.

Now fingers are crossed, but it seems you know how to use scalpel. Total confidence !

I see nothing to dislike in the scan; you are using WPA2-AES only. I await the results with the later version of bcmwl-kernel-source.

Logs seems to be good Chili! I wait this week to confirm and set this topic as solved. But before getting exited for nothing, I prefer to be patient, because 2 days without diconnection already arrived.

    Re: CTRL-EVENT-DISCONNECTED reason=0 with a BCM4331 WIFI card

Damn, my bug is back, maybe I was lucky last week.... Disconnected at 10:28. Also trying to focus the issue, I saw the Country code could be the reason, so I edited this file :

    Code:
    sudo subl /lib/udev/rules.d/*reg*
And i commented the line :

    Code:
    #KERNEL=="regulatory*", ACTION=="change", SUBSYSTEM=="platform", RUN+="/sbin/crda"
But didn't change. I'm also on the good driver :

    Code:
    sudo dpkg -s bcmwl-kernel-source | grep VersionVersion: 6.30.223.248+bdcom-0ubuntu2
Here's my log. What is strange in it ? Maybe I should back to a previous kernel so ?

    Code:

    Re: CTRL-EVENT-DISCONNECTED reason=0 with a BCM4331 WIFI card

I saw the Country code could be the reason, so I edited this file :
    Code:
    sudo subl /lib/udev/rules.d/*reg*
And i commented the line :
    Code:
    #KERNEL=="regulatory*", ACTION=="change", SUBSYSTEM=="platform", RUN+="/sbin/crda"
    But didn't change.
I'd change that back as it was. Then, I recommend that your regulatory domain be set explicitly. Check yours:

    Code:
    sudo iw reg get
If you get 00, that is a one-size-maybe-fits-all setting. Find yours here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_3166-1_alpha-2 Then set it temporarily:

    Code:
    sudo iw reg set IS
Of course, substitute your country code if not Iceland. Set it permanently:

    Code:
    gksudo gedit /etc/default/crda
Use nano or kate or leafpad if you don't have the text editor gedit. Change the last line to read:

    Code:
    REGDOMAIN=IS
Proofread carefully, save and close the text editor.

Reboot and let's see the log again.

    Re: CTRL-EVENT-DISCONNECTED reason=0 with a BCM4331 WIFI card

I reverted back my /lib/udev/rules.d/*reg* as original. I set my country to FR :

    Code:
    sudo iw reg get
        country FR:
        (2402 - 2482 @ 40), (N/A, 20)
        (5170 - 5250 @ 40), (N/A, 20)
        (5250 - 5330 @ 40), (N/A, 20), DFS
        (5490 - 5710 @ 40), (N/A, 27), DFS
        (57240 - 65880 @ 2160), (N/A, 40), NO-OUTDOOR
before permanently do it, I tried the temporary one :

    Code:
    sudo iw reg set FR
But the result was always 00 with a sudo iw reg get. Permanently fixed it, so i'm now in FR. I wait this week and back to you
