    Ubuntu 14.04 boot problem

    I uninstalled gnome shell and restarted my laptop. It booted and I saw a black screen no log no nothig.

    What did you uninstall Gnome shell from? Ubuntu Gnome? Or from Ubuntu? And when you installed Gnome shell did you then uninstall Unity?

    When we uninstall a user interface we always need a replacement in place. Otherwise, no user interface.
