    MacBook Pro Retina EFI Boot

So I have followed every guide online that I've found and I can't get EFI boot to work. The only os on this Macbook is Ubuntu. It's a completey wiped / clean drive so I have no other OS on there.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? My problem is I install Ubuntu, install efibootmgr and then when I reboot, it finally boots and hits a black screen and just stays there.

    Anyway help is appreciated!

Moved to Apple sub-forum where those users may know more.

Sound more like a video issue, but do not know what video driver your system users.

Re: MacBook Pro Retina EFI Boot

Thank you for moving this. I couldn't find the sub forum on mobile.

I've finally gotten it to the point where it boots I get a black screen and it says "this disk is not bootable".

I have switch to CSM for now but I'm happy to try again until it's figured out. Im also documenting the hell out of it
