Top panel calendar entries are incorrect, how to change?

Where do the entries come from when you pull down the calendar from the top panel? I want to edit them since some are incorrect, such as when daylight saving time starts, it is showing the 5th of April when it is the 8th of March. There are other errors also and I woul like to add my own entries.

I have searched and found nothing that guides me in changing these entries.

This problem existed when I was using 12.04 and now with 14.04, so someone should know how to change them.
Using POP!_OS 20.04, which is basically Ubuntu 20.04 with some help from System76.

Are you using Unity and Ubuntu, and are your timezone and system locale set correctly?

Easter Time Zone (-5 UTC). Unity and Ubuntu 14.04LTS. Yes set for NYC time as that is the EST selection.
