Question Xubuntu 14.10 glitchy mouse after dragging desktop icons

    Hi,

Today I freshly installed Xubuntu 14.10 (amd64) desktop version on my lenovo flex 2 14" laptop, and noticed this bug, see the video below.

log out+log in solves the issue, but when I drag the icons again, the problem comes up again.
With 14.04 I had no such problems, any suggestions?

I do not have a fix or solution, but I have the exact same problem. If you have figured something out please let me know. If I find something I will post up a what I find.

Xubuntu is my "go to" flavor and being a former Gnome 2 devotee, I'm exceedingly happy with Xubuntu.

Except that I, too, have the most annoying glitch of my mouse cursor corrupting every time I drag an object. It will grab an icon, turn it into a thumbnail, then add a double cursor. Only the left cursor of the double cursor is active but carrying around this cursor assemblage is most annoying.

    Googling, I found this:

    Bug Description
In Ubuntu 14.10, the mouse cursor graphic gets corrupted under certain occasions. It then looks flipped, sheared or shows fragments of a previous cursor.

At this forum I also found a thread on this problem (from my Google search) but I cannot find the thread here. It was marked "solved" but I did not see a solution.

For now, the work-around is to copy/paste rather than drag/drop.

I have tried changing cursors and swapping mice to no avail.

I have had this problem on and off for more than a year and on different installs. I never remember it on Unity but only on Xfce.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
