    application forrenewal of membership

    Hi all.

I have been so busy that I have not checked my other account . I have been getting reminders there about my Ubuntu Membership expiring. I do not know if I have to re-apply - so I am re-applying for renewal of memberhsip (as I cannot find how to now after it has been expired .) Iv'e just been so busy. Thats no excuse. I don't know what to say. All the info is the same.

Here is my re-application if needed.

    -------------------------------

I would like to re-apply for Ubuntu Membership.

My wiki is here - https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ventrical#preview

and my launchpad account is here - https://launchpad.net/~twocamels

    Thanks for any considerations.

    Regards,
    Ventrical

Well.. that's what I get for not looking at my other e-mail boxes I thought I had used my regular ubuntu email (which is SSO for launchpad) but it sent (reminders) it to alternate.

    What now ?

Is this wrong thread to post?

    Regards..

    Re: renewal of membership

At least for staff members, we have the following routines (and maybe it would work also for you and other Ubuntu members)

Edit: Elfy tells us there are different routines for staff and members.

    Launchpad Expiry - https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuforums-staff
We've been doing this 3 month expiry now for over a year, from now if someone expires from the launchpad page we will remove them from the moderator usergroup once we receive that LP notification.

    It is your responsibility to

    1. Ensure that the e-mail at launchpad is current and you receive mails via LP
    2. If you are going away and you might expire in the meantime to contact us at ubuntu-forums-council@lists.ubuntu.com - please do not PM on the forum.
    3. Reply to the FC at the above address in time for us to change the expiry date

I've sent a message from launchpad to all members of that lp team, that is current admins and moderators.

If you have received that then you are good for #1 of the above, if not then you need to deal with it.

We don't ask much of you - and in truth are glad to have all of you on the team - but we are all adults and as such should be responsible for general team responsibilities such as this without being chased by others.

Tempted to let the application run, see if it gets approved...

Your responsibility to keep on top of it, however obviously a mistake so renewed.

    Hi.

No you don't have to re-apply, better to use the right e-mail on Launchpad so you get the notices. Looks like you've had it extended.

You can safely ignore what forum staff hoops exist

and no - you can't read the link

    @all

    Thanks howefield, elfy.

    @Sudodus

Wrong assumption on my part. I had assumed that SSO would merge my e-mails and send a notification to my regular ubuntuforums email - which it did not. This being assumed of course because I log into launchpad with SSO which uses my ubuntuforums email and not my launchpad e-mail. However, I have been corrected on this and thanks for recognizing as honest mistake .

I read this simply to find out who forrenewal was.

    Never heard of 'em.

Anyway, congrats on the updated status.

I believe you are thinking of a nonrenewal...
