My dilemma started by trying to download ubuntu onto my old super basic dell inspiron windows 7 computer (if you can't tell already I know nothing, but trying to learn). I wasn't worried about any of the files that I had on there, and was trying to get ubuntu on there as quickly as possible and that obviously was a mistake. I downloaded it onto my hard drive, used isobuster to get to the wubi file and proceeded to download another program that I can't recall that allowed me to fully extract the wubi files onto my hard drive. I now have error 0xc00000f and cannot get to any command prompt or any screen other than the setup screen where I can change the basic settings which have had no effect.
After doing a bit of research on my mistakes, I understand that both of the OS's are trying to run but instead neither can (hence why you don't download it to the hard drive). I'm guessing my best option would be to get boot repair disk on a usb and to run that as the first boot device under BIOS or whatever, but am wondering if I should just go ahead and find someone to fix it (if it's even possible).
Also I tried downloading the boot repair disk to my current desktop to no avail. There was a network error after 3/4 of it downloaded even though my internet connection never went out.
I implore you to try to look past my ignorance in hopes that I may learn,
