recording audio, and listning audio that recorded

Hello, i want to record metal and heavey metal, but there is no listening of the audio that recorded from.

SO, is it possible to do those like on Windows 7 program, like you click right of the mouse audio proberties or something like that, and choose listening to audio microphone or hardwares microphone, Miditech guitar interface II.
So, does ubuntu have like ASIO4ALL like software? and Presunos?

Forgive me, if this not understandable.

    For Ubuntu Studio 14?

So if I understand you properly, you want to listen to and simultaneously record music that you are listening to.

If so you can certainly do this using both audacity, available in the repos, or audio-recorder from the ppa at https://launchpad.net/~osmoma/+archi...audio-recorder
